It is impossible to dislike Sara Pascoe.
She spoke to the audience this afternoon the way you speak to a group of friends after several glasses of wine. You felt at ease with her on stage as she rattled through embarassing anecdotes the audience lapped up.
Covering everything from her fear of being murdered by an Uber driver to writing sexually-explicit letters to prisoners, she charmed the audience members who crammed into the Comedy Tent in droves.
And while there was plenty of silliness in her set, including a particularly memorable tale of adolescent indiscretions at parties, she hit the nail on the head about some serious issues too.
She wondered, and so did the audience, whether humanity has collectively used up all its empathy on fictional characters and so has none left for other people, and how anyone made a decision on the referendum to leave the EU when neither remain nor leave camps seemed appealing.
She will already have been familiar to audiences from her work on the TV comedy panel show circuit, but I expect Ms Pascoe will have won a few more fans after today's set.
