A talk exploring the ins and outs of international law including how peace and security are maintained and territories protected is set take place in Norwich.
The lecture, which is the latest to be put on by the Norfolk Cambridge Society, will be delivered by Professor Sir Christopher Greenwood, a former judge at the International Court of Justice.
Among the topics explored in the lecture will be the legal responsibility of states in their conduct with one another and laws relating to international crimes, nationality and human rights.
The Civilising the World - The Highways and Byways of International Justice lecture will take place at 6.30pm on January 23 at Norwich School, tickets are £15 per person with a limited number of £5 tickets available for sixth form students accompanied by parents or teachers.
All prices include a glass of wine or soft drink.
