An inquest has opened into the death of a 26-year-old man from Norwich who died in prison.
Norfolk coroner Jacqueline Lake opened the inquest into the death of Luke Punchard at the coroner's court in Norwich on Thursday morning.
The inquest heard how Mr Punchard, who was a prisoner at HMP Norwich and was from Norwich, died on June 2.
The medical cause of death was given as hanging.
In March, Mr Punchard was jailed for 18 months after a robbery at the One Stop store in Clancy Road in Norwich.
