The inquest into the death of a 52-year-old woman who died after being struck by a police van which had its blue lights on will be held later this month.

Officers had been looking for Helen Loveday, who had been reported missing, when their marked van hit her in Hethel, near Norwich.

The woman was hit at around 10.20pm on Thursday, July 27 last year.

She was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge by the East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) piloted by the Duke of Cambridge on his final shift as an air ambulance pilot. She died two days later, on July 29.

An inquest into her death will take place at Norwich Coroner's Court on October 15.

The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) has completed its own investigation into the crash although any findings will not be published until after the inquest has been completed.
