The 13 mile walk in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support in Norfolk is now in its fifth year, and has already beaten last year's record number of walkers and is now hoping to beat the £43,500 raised.

Beginning and ending at University of East Anglia Sportspark, the Starlight Walk provides a great opportunity to fit in some calorie-burning exercise, take in the sunrise over Norwich and raise money for people living with cancer. Jane Rumball, organiser of the walk, said: “We are delighted that each year sees the word of Starlight Walk spread that little bit further with more and more people wanting to take part. What makes this walk particularly special is the community spirit of the event; anyone can join in and walkers take as long as they wish to complete the walk, so there's a real feeling of camaraderie and fun to it. And, even better, all the money raised goes straight back into the community, helping people who need it most.”

Every penny of the registration fee and any sponsorship raised goes directly to Macmillan Cancer Support to provide Macmillan nurses, financial grants and other services for people living with cancer in Norfolk.

To take part in 2010's Starlight Walk you must arrive at Norwich Sportspark by 11pm, bringing your £25 registration fee with you, or call 01603 593799. More information about the walk can be found at www.starlightwalknorwich.co.uk.
