While some families cover their houses in Christmas lights and decorations, a Norfolk dad has brought the festive spirit into his home. Michael Cork, from Hellesdon, pictured with sons Adam, eight, and Gareth, 11, has turned his living room into a log cabin filled with tinsel, lights, glitter balls and baubles.

The 47-year-old has used old carpet tubes painted with wood treatment to create the wooden log effect and has built up his collection of Christmas decorations over the last 20 years.

It took Mr Cork, of Woodland Road, just over a month to put up the decorations. The married father of two, who runs his own motorcycle and scooter sales and repairs firm, said: 'I always try to do something every year. Christmas is so magical and the children love it.'
