A petition calling for Norwich to have its first dedicated climbing centre has smashed through the 100-signature barrier.
As reported, neighbours Mike Surtees and Philip Mortimer, of Marlborough Road, have submitted plans to Norwich City Council to develop a climbing centre with an osteopathy clinic and yoga room.
The project is predicted to cost 100,000 and requires permission to change the use of a derelict unit in Twickenham Road, Catton Grove. A petition supporting the idea was started on February 2 and has already received 131 signatures.
