An enhanced park and ride service has begun between Costessey and the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH).
Following feedback from staff, patients and visitors, additional buses have been added to the Costessey Park and Ride timetable to help meet demand at peak times and to reduce parking congestion at the hospital site.
Following completion of the B1108 Watton Road roadworks, the improved park and ride service is up and running with buses every 15 minutes Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays.
The first service of the day leaves Costessey at 6.30am and arrives at NNUH at 6.40am. The last bus leaves NNUH at 8.20pm.
The park and ride service is free for NNUH staff and is a £1 return for other bus users. Park and Ride buses stop at stand B outside West Outpatients at NNUH.
Richard Parker, NNUH chief operating officer, said: 'We are delighted that the new park and ride service is up and running, which is now significantly improved. The enhanced service includes a more frequent service, which will benefit our staff, patients and visitors.'
