Today marks a new chapter for the Evening News website with the introduction of a new commenting system called Disqus.
Our new commenting system is designed to make it easier for readers to sign up and join in the conversation either by registering through Disqus or through your social media channels including Facebook, Google, and Twitter.
To get started simply choose your social media account logo below or click 'Sign up with Disqus' to enter your name, email address and password then wait for a verification email to appear in your inbox.
Discussions are in real-time - no more waiting around for a comment to appear. You can now reply directly to other comments in a thread and share them on social media. You can also choose to receive email notifications when someone replies to your comment. Readers can even add images and video to keep discussions lively.
Not only does it look so much better than our previous commenting system it's also a lot easier for us to block those who attenpt to disrupt the conversation. You can also alert us to any posts you feel are inappropriate simply by clicking to the right of the post and hitting 'Flag as inappropriate' and we will investigate.
Register below and join in the discussion.
Comments: Our rules
We want our comments to be a lively and valuable part of our community - a place where readers can debate and engage with the most important local issues. The ability to comment on our stories is a privilege, not a right, however, and that privilege may be withdrawn if it is abused or misused.
Please report any comments that break our rules.
