Only two fixtures survived the terrible weather which hit the county on Sunday morning and both these needed late switches of venues to enable the games to be played.
Harleston Old Boys and Mulbarton Wanderers switched their League Shield tie to the new 3G pitch at Easton College with the Wanderers running out 7-2 winners. Hat-tricks from top scorer Colin Gibbins (on nine) and Dean Parfitt and one from Dave Darkins did the damage with Paul Godbold and Matt Myall replying for the Old Boys.
The other match was a Seniors (over 40's) cup-tie between Rocklands and Cringleford which was switched to the city side's ground due to the Rockland pitch being under water. A Richard Fairman hat-trick and one each from Masood Birgani and Phil Shaul saw them home 5-1 with four goals in the last 10 minutes. Graeme Shurey replied.
A look forward to the league programme this Sunday sees the two bottom clubs in Division One Acle Rangers and Whitton United face each other at Bridewell Lane.
