A Norfolk woman is to face no further action from police after she was arrested on the suspicion of money laundering following an investigation into how military contracts were awarded in war torn Iraq.

Heather Tarrant, of Belton, near Great Yarmouth, was arrested in January in connection with her role with the company Zeroline which was run from her home address in Station Road.

Her arrest by the Ministry of Defence police officers followed allegations relating to the awarding of a contract to Zeroline to supply 51 armoured cars to the Iraq's Interior Ministry in June 2004 - a year after the invasion by American and British forces.

Yesterday Ministry of Defence Police said that following enquires Mrs Tarrant's bail had been cancelled and no further police action was planned.

Mrs Tarrant's husband, Peter, was also arrested by Ministry of Defence police on the suspicion of money laundering earlier this year and he remains on police bail until June 24.
