The time to honour our city's green champions is fast approaching.
Organised by Norwich City Council and supported by the Evening News, the eco awards honour those making a real difference to our environment.
Environmental strategy officer Claire Tullett said: 'This year's awards promise to be exciting and are a great opportunity for local businesses, schools, and organisations to publicly demonstrate their eco credentials.
'We have already had some interested parties making enquiries.'
All entrants will be invited to a ceremony at City Hall hosted by the Lord Mayor where they will receive an eco awards certificate recognising their environmentally-friendly efforts.
The categories are:
• Outstanding eco school
• Outstanding eco community group
• Outstanding eco small business (less than 50 staff)
• Outstanding eco large business (more than 50 staff)
• To enter visit www.norwich.gov.uk and click on the eco issues page. Closing date for entries is Friday, January 27. The awards ceremony is due to be held on Thursday 1 March next year.
Please note that the awards are only open to organisations based within the Norwich City Council area.
