A former member of support staff at Hobart High School in Loddon has been given a six-month suspended prison sentence after he admitted making indecent images of children.
Terry McDonald, 39, formerly of Vale Green in Norwich, pleaded guilty in April to four counts of making indecent photographs of pseudo-photographs of a child.
At the time, the school said there was no evidence to suggest the offences involved any of the its pupils, past or present.
McDonald's sentence was suspended for two years, he was given a seven-year Sexual Harm Protection Order, was put on an Internet Sex Offender Treatment Programme and the Sex Offenders Register for seven years.
He was sentenced at Norwich Crown Court today after being arrested in July last year by members of Norfolk Police's Safeguarding Children Online Team (SCOLT)
Detective Constable Simon Thompson, based at the SCOLT, said: 'We hope such a case sends a strong message out to such offenders that the internet is not a safe anonymous space for accessing indecent images or grooming children. They leave a digital footprint and we will find it.'
