Five-car crash closes A11

Both carriageways of the A11 were closed for three hours this afternoon following a crash between five cars.
Both carriageways of the A11 were closed for three hours this afternoon following a crash between five cars near Thetford.
Two people were taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital while three others were treated on the scene. Nobody was thought to be seriously injured.
The crash, between a red Ford car, black BMW car, blue Mercedes van, white Mercedes van and another vehicle, happened at 1.20pm today and closed the road until 4.30pm. Traffic is still heavy however and there are tailbacks in both directions.
