Norwich shoppers were greeted by a strange sight this afternoon after two police officers were spotted on top of a commercial unit's roof.
The trained firearms officers were dressed in all black, with their hoods up and scarves around their necks, and were stationed on Primark's roof.
The pair were carrying out a training exercise, and were equipped with binoculars as they attempted to identify a fellow officer dressed in plain clothes.
This is part of the officers' training as part of the constabulary's contingency plan.
A fellow officer remarked that today's snowy conditions were a good day for training, as it would improve the firearms officers' resilience.
