The finalists for the Best of Vintage Norwich Awards at Norwich Fashion Week have been announced - so who will you vote for?
The finalists for the Vintage Norwich Awards have been announced.
The awards, part of Norwich Fashion Week 2013, highlight the growing vintage scene in Norwich with retro-inspired cafes, club nights, boutiques, stylists and designers all vying for a place in the final over the past few weeks.
The public were asked to vote for their favourite vintage businesses in 11 categories and the top three receiving the most votes in each group are going on to the final awards ceremony on March 11.
Gemma Seager, editor of the Vintage Norwich website, who is hosting the awards, is overwhelmed at the response so far:
'We had almost 500 nomination forms through this year which is over three times as many as we had for the first awards in 2012,' Ms Seager said.
'Nominations in some categories were so close that the top three were changing several times a day
'So we didn't know until the end of the nominations who would be in the final shortlist – it was quite exciting!'
The winners will be announced at a star-studded awards ceremony at the Norwich Puppet Theatre during Norwich Fashion Week. The evening will be compered by Paul Preston Mills, with performances by the Ben Weston Quartet, hula hooper Daisy Black, burlesque artist Natalya Umanska and a fashion show by the Fabulous Miss K.
The night finishes with an after party with DJ Jonny Love Train and prizes for the best dressed.
Tickets for the Vintage Norwich Awards cost £12 and are available from Norwich Puppet Theatre on 01603 629921 or puppettheatre.co.uk
