A weekend carnival raft race has been postponed - left high and dry by England's World Cup progress.
The Cromer event was due to launch at 2pm on Sunday, but would clash with the big football showdown with Germany.
Organisers of the carnival-linked event realised they could be short of entrants and spectators, and have moved it on three weekends to avoid any more football clashes.
Carnival publicity officer Dave 'Hubba' Roberts said teams taking part tended to be from pubs, who would want to be watching the game, so the event was moved to date which was after the World Cup had finished, and which provided the right tide conditions.
