The popular pottery artist, who is famous for her unique and colourful designs, is joining long-term patron Jake Humphrey in championing the charity in its 50th anniversary year.

It comes after Ms Bridgewater last year designed a limited edition hare mug to celebrate Break's landmark anniversary and the GoGoHares charity art trail that Break is bringing to Norwich and Norfolk this summer.

Ms Bridgewater said: 'I am completely thrilled to become a patron of Break.

'I have always admired the excellent work that the organisation does with young people and families facing complex difficulties and challenges.

'The young are the future and Break do amazing work to make the future better, happier, healthier and full of hope.

'I'm also a big fan of Break shops, being a frequent customer, especially in Holt!'

Hilary Richards, CEO of Break, said: 'We are all very excited that Emma has agreed to join Jake as a patron and we look forward to working with her this year and in the future.'

Break, which was founded in 1968, provides homes for looked after children through small scale children's homes and a fostering service, homes and respite breaks for children with disabilities and learning disabilities, and support for children and families in the community through the Break Family Centre.

It also specialises in supporting young people leaving the formal care system at 18 with its Moving On Team.

The GoGoHares trail, which Break is leading with Wild in Art, will be a key part of Break's 50th aniversary celebrations this summer.

Fifty decorated hares are set to hop onto Norwich's streets on June 24, and 18 more hare sculptures will be displayed around the wider county.
