The lane closure was imposed by Norfolk County Council on Tuesday after the disintegration of an earlier repair.
Workers patched up the potholes and fully reopened the road this morning.
However, a full resurfacing of the only dualled part of the A140 in Norfolk, which is set to cost �7m, is still scheduled to take place early this year.
