Norwich primary unveils results of £360,000 revamp
An open day has been held at a Norwich primary school to unveil a £360,000 revamp.
Tuckswood Academy, part of the Right for Success trust, showed off the results of the work to parents and the community earlier this month.
New classrooms and toilets have been included in the scheme, which has also seen additions to the outside area.
Hard surfaces have been replaced by soft play areas, and an outdoor adventure playground for reception has been built.
Ian Winter, headteacher, said: “We have invested more than £360,000 in this significant refurbishment programme, and it will continue with new catering facilities and a kitchen which is high on our list for further improvements. It’s been well worth it - but this has been a busy time.”
It came after youngsters at the school raised more than £300 for Finnbar’s Force, a charity set up in memory of Finnbar Cork, a five-year-old boy who died from brain cancer in 2016.
