Youngsters had their prize pictures show cased in a special art exhibition to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.
Pupils from Costessey Junior School, Henderson Green Primary School, City Academy Norwich and West Earlham Primary School all contributed to the collection, which displayed hundreds of art works on the theme of love.
The exhibition was launched at West Earlham Primary School on Valentine’s Day and featured 200 works by West Earlham pupils, and 90 works from the other schools.
Karen Withers, teaching assistant at West Earlham Junior School, said: “The feedback from the teachers has shown that every pupil had a really great time working on this project. What excited them most is the prospect of getting to see their pictures next to each others in the gallery.”
The pictures will be available for viewing later this week when the exhibition is held at Henderson Green Primary School on Tuesday February 15, Costessey Junior School on Wednesday February 16 and City Academy Norwich on Thursday February 17.
Mrs Withers said: “Our two enterprise students have been totally committed to organising this event and I don’t want anyone to think that this was run by the teachers. We could never have done this without the effort from every one of our pupils.”
Children began work on the exhibition in October when each school chose two enterprise students to create a fund raising event.
Since then, more than 700 pieces of art were created for the exhibition with students choosing their favourite 30 to be displayed at the other schools.
Works included paintings, drawings and collages ,and feature subjects as diverse as cuddling cats and people holding hands.
Parents were invited to peruse the works on the day and donate money to charity by buying their children’s paintings.
