Prospective parents are being invited to an open meeting on Sunday where they can find out more about what looks set to be Norwich's newest school.
Free School Norwich is staging the event at the Music Room at the Assembly House on Theatre Street, Norwich, from 2pm-3.30pm.
Members of the group behind the scheme, which includes parents, teachers and business people from the Norwich area, will be available to answer questions after a presentation.
Free schools are being introduced by the government in a bid to enhance parental choice and to drive up standards. They are directly funded by the government and removed from local authority control, with the freedom to set their own curriculum and holidays.
Earlier this month, the Evening News revealed that at least 170 people had enquired about the school, which will cater for 168 youngsters aged from four to 11.
The school is also advertising for a headteacher and other senior members of staff. But there is still mystery about the possible location of the school, with those behind it negotiating over a 'very central location'.
