Youngsters voiced their views on the issue of female bishops in front of a panel of experts.

About 100 pupils took part in a Question Time-style at Norwich Cathedral's Hostry today.

The discussion, entitled 'Race and faith - is multicultural Britain working', saw the schoolchildren raise questions about this week's rejection of women bishops by the general synod of the Church of England.

They also talked about faith schools and religion in modern times.

A cathedral spokesman said: 'There were lots of lively questions and we were really pleased with how it went.'
