Happy twist in case of Mile Cross milk snatcher in Norwich

The story of the Mile Cross milk snatchers has taken a heart-warming turn after local fundraisers reimbursed the primary school for its replacement drinks.

Staff at the Brasier Road school had to make a last-minute dash to the supermarket after discovering milk for pupils had been stolen on Monday.

After reading about the theft in the Evening News, the Norwich North Alpha Lions instantly decided they wanted to help.

President David Bowden said treasurer Tony Barber had called him asking what they could do.

Mr Bowden said: 'I said 'go and reimburse them'. That's what Lions do.'
