A school's yuletide activities were brought to life when Father Christmas arrived with an entourage of festive animals.

Chapel Break Infant School in Bowthorpe, Norwich, hosted an outdoor Christmas parade and performance today entitled There is a Star in the Sky.

Santa Claus and real-life reindeer, donkey and sheep visited the Thurlby Road school and were part of a living tableau of festive scenes and nativity around the school grounds, accompanied by a procession of children singing songs.

Headteacher Jane Rolph said: “The pupils were very excited about our Christmas performance, as it was something a bit different. The reindeer and other animals were joined by Father Christmas to make it all very special.”
