Areas linked with Sarah Glover in Norwich

St. Laurence Church, St Benedicts Street. This medieval church in the centre of Norwich was where Sarah Glover's father was a rector. It was built between 1460 and 1472 and features Edwardian paintings of saints and angels on panels near the altar.

Black Boys' Yard, Colegate Sarah and her sisters originally ran a school in Black Boys' yard. The yard is named Black Boy after the Black Boy pub which is believed to have been there in the early 1760s. The pub was later re-invented as the Merchants of Colegate. There is a plaque commemorating her on the outside wall of the pub.

Pottergate Street Sarah Glover was born in Norwich and lived the majority of her life at 91 Pottergate Street (although the number may have changed now from when Sarah lived there).

Strangers' Hall Museum, Charing Cross The museum steeped in Georgian and Tudor history is also home to a collection of original documents relating to the work of Sarah Glover including a glass harmonicon instrument she invented. The collection is not on public display.
