East Coast Truckers get on board for 50k charity race day at Snetterton
Heavyweights from the trucking world will give their support to a charity event to help raise money for families of seriously ill children.
The East Coast Truckers charity will exhibit 10 of their articulated lorries at the Charity Race Experience Day at Snetterton on Sunday, November 18.
The vehicles, which span over five decades of trucking history, are worth more than 1million.
Visitors will be able to pay 5 for a ride in the cab and one of the trucks will also double up as a stage to play host to bands throughout the day.
Gordon Saye, from the charity, said: 'We heard about this fantastic event and thought it was a great way for motor and vehicle enthusiasts to raise funds for charity.
'We are dedicated to helping children and delighted to be able to lend our support to an event that has children at the heart of its fundraising activity.
'We hope that in addition to meeting some new faces all our regular followers will lend their support by coming along to see us.'

Toyota GB will also be attending to offer passengers rides in the rare Lexus LFA.
The two-seat supercar, worth 233,500, is one of only two in the country.
The race day, which is being backed by our sister paper the Eastern Daily Press, will raise money for the Ronald McDonald House Charities, through visitors paying to ride in classics and supercars.
The charity aims to provide free accommodation at hospitals across the UK, enabling families to stay close to their sick child and maintain a degree of normal family life.
Now in its second year, the organisers said they had been overwhelmed by the support they had received.
So far they have over 120 classic, race, track and supercars confirmed, plus 350 car club exhibits.
The event is organised by Norwich businessmen Shawn Taylor, of ST Racing, Devin Grosse, general manager of Holiday Inn-Norwich North, and Kevin Foley, owner of two McDonald franchises in the city.
Shawn Taylor, of ST Racing, said: 'Everyone connected with the race experience day, including the organisation team, has volunteered their time and skills to make this event a success and we can't thank everyone enough.
'Our aim is to raise 50,000 for the RMHC through the gate entry price and the passenger rides. It's going to be an amazing day with some incredible vehicles and displays, which we hope will generate maximum fun whilst raising vital funds.'
