Children at Drayton C of E Junior School created a Diamond Jubilee cookbook full of tasty recipes which has helped to raise funds for the Norwich and District Diabetes Youth Group.

Teacher Mrs Dale Wrenn also sent a copy of the book to the Queen and received a letter from Buckingham Palace thanking the school for the gift.

The book has so far raised 75 for the diabetes group which fundraises and organises events for children with type one diabetes and their families. Pupils from the school presented the group's chairman, Stephen Pizey, and committee member Francis King, with the cheque during a school assembly.

Copies of the cookbook are still available to buy for 3. To buy a copy call the school on 01603 867504.
