A developer has been given the go-ahead to build seven new houses in Little Plumstead.

Joe Wiley sought permission to build the homes on a 2.6 hectare site at Octagon Park, on Hospital Road.

The application said the properties, which will be low energy Passivhaus Plus standard, would use the existing business park access onto Hospital Road.

Commenting on the original application, Great and Little Plumstead Parish Council said it was disappointed that the proposals did not take on board its views that the scheme should offer a more mixed development.

It said the proposals 'pressed on' with the significant high-value pavilions, and was not in keeping with one of its neighbourhood plan policies.

Broadland District Council's planning committee approved the application at a meeting on September 6, subject to the conclusion of a bat survey.
