These ladies got into the Movember spirit this weekend, finding out what it is like to have a moustache.

They work on the Benefit make-up counter at the Norwich Debenhams store, in Red Lion Street, and wanted to raise some funds and awareness for the men's health campaign.

Account manager Flo Watts said: 'We always like to do something a bit random and a bit different so we thought we'd do this as a bit of fun.'

Norwich pub the Surrey Tavern kick-started its Movember fundraising with a party on Thursday night.

The Surrey Street pub has managed to recruit a 26-strong Movember team and is holding an end of Movember party from 8pm on Monday, November 30.

The party will include Movember awards and a prize draw, including bottles of spirits and a pair of Norwich City tickets, and will be donating 10pc of the evening's takings to Movember.

Meanwhile the Goals Soccer Centre, in Hall Road, will be holding a Movember Cup five-a-side football competition from 6pm on Sunday, November 25.

Goals Norwich centre manager, James Lalonde, said: 'Our Movember tournament will be a lot of fun, but with a serious message at the heart of it. We hope to have as many Mo's as possible taking part in the tournament and to raise lots of money for this great cause.

'For those who are unable to grow their own, we'll even provide you with a temporary one for 2 with all the proceeds going to the charity.'

Entry fee is 40 per team, with all players receiving a complimentary grooming kit from Gillette. The winners will then be entered into a national prize draw to win an all-expenses paid trip to Copenhagen on Saturday, December 1, to play against a Danish five-a-side team.
