A 34-year-old man who was stabbed in Norwich City Centre but found two miles away could have travelled there in a dark-coloured car police have said.The victim, who has not been named, remains in a serious but stable condition at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.

The victim, who has not been named, remains in a serious but stable condition at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.

Police believe after the stabbing occurred in Barnard's Yard on Wednesday , the victim and another man travelled to the Guardian Road area in a dark-coloured Volkswagen Golf, via the West Norwich Hospital.

Four men, arrested in connection with the stabbing, have been questioned and released on police bail but remain under investigation.

They are a 39-year-old Norwich man, a 42-year-old Norwich man, a 29-year-old Norwich man and a 23-year-old Leeds man.

DS Gary Bloomfield said: “We would appeal for anyone who saw any suspicious activity in any of these areas who has not already spoken to us to contact us as soon as possible.”
