A hearing aid consultant who works in Norwich is furious after having a car she has bought twice, firstly for her dying husband and then in his memory, stolen for the second time.

Louise Wright bought the dark blue Audi RS6 with her husband Ashley Wright in 2007 for approximately 20,000.

Mr Wright had been diagnosed with motor neurone disease and been told he had just 18 months to live and this was his dream car.

The car was stolen firstly in 2009 after thieves broke into the couple's home in Queens Road, Fakenham, while they were sleeping and took the keys.

Three people were arrested but the case against them was dropped due to lack of evidence.

The vehicle was recovered but Mrs Wright had already bought another car with money received from the insurance company.

She was told it was not the insurance company's policy to sell back to previous owners, but she eventually tracked it down in London through the Auto Trader website and bought the car for 11,250 in May 2010, two months after her husband died.

But it was stolen again from her Queens Road, Fakenham home last Wednesday.

She believes the same people may be involved in the theft.

Mrs Wright, who works at Amplifon, on Ber Street in Norwich, said: 'The car was a big part of Ashley's life and I bought it in his memory.

'I am absolutely furious that this has happened again and I would urge anyone who has any information to contact the police.'

Police are investigating the latest theft, which took place between 10am and 2pm on December 5.

Anyone with information should call DC Jon Duncan at King's Lynn Police Station on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
