The small trees, about four foot high, were taken from the Earlham Park Café sometime between January 15 and January 16, according to co-owner Ingrid Henry.

She has not reported the theft but highlighted the incident on the café's Facebook page.

The post read: 'To the person who has stolen the little trees from the planters out side Earlham Café we hope you will get lots of pleasure looking at them in your garden you obviously need them to look at more then the hundreds of people who come to Earlham Park.'

She said the trees had been paid and looked after by her mother and auntie, the café's previous owner, in 2017.

Mrs Henry, who co-owns the café with her husband Hakan Torunogullari, was 'disappointed' about the theft.

Anyone with information should call the café on 07721391909.
