A driver is on the run after three packages of drugs were found in a car on the outskirts of Norwich.

Officers from the Norfolk and Suffolk Roads Policing team stopped the Renault Scenic car on the Norwich-bound A140 in the Harford Bridge area at 6.30pm on Tuesday, July 11.

The vehicle was picked up on the A140 in Suffolk at 6pm on July 11, and officers blocked the car in Norwich.

They discovered the untested drugs and arrested the car passenger - a man in his 20s - on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.

He was taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre.

The driver of the Renault - also a man - fled the scene and is yet to be found.

Norfolk police are linking the incident to Operation Gravity, which targets the most serious offenders involved in dealing and transporting Class A drugs into and around the county.
