Police officers had to push a car up Grapes Hill in Norwich after its driver ran out of petrol.
The car broke down in the fast lane, half way up the hill, at about 3.45pm, causing delays for other motorists.
Police pushed the car to the top of the hill, and the road was clear by 4.28pm.
