A Norwich man has been fined after being found in possession of herbal cannabis and resin earlier this month.

Dale Baker, of Churchill Road, off Sprowston Road, pleaded guilty to possession of the class B drug at Norwich Magistrates’ Court today.

The court heard that a trading standards officer contacted the police on August 12 after smelling cannabis on a Norwich market stall.

The stall and Baker’s home was searched and a total of 32g of herbal cannabis was found, at a value of £184, and a further 21g of cannabis resin, valued at £61.

Baker, 52, told police he had used it for years. He was fined £185, with a further £85 costs and £15 surcharge.
