A community centre was flooded after thieves stole copper piping from the building.

The crime happened at some time between 5.15pm on Friday, June 17 and 9am on Saturday, June 18 at the Old Lakenham Community Centre in Harwood Road, Lakenham, Norwich.

Burglars gained access to the property and stole copper piping and audio equipment from inside. As a result of the pipes being stolen, the main hall was flooded causing damage to the centre.

Norfolk police would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or noticed people acting suspiciously in the area around the times stated.
