Now a judge has expressed fears that Freya Frezgi may have 'come to harm in some way' after disappearing in May last year.

Frezgi was arrested at a used cars site in Ber Street, Norwich, at the end of November 2015.

He was later charged with two counts of conspiracy to supply cocaine and heroin between May 1 2015 and November 27 2015, and another offence of obstructing a police officer.

The defendant, who at the time of his arrest was 24, denied the charges and had previously gone on trial in May last year.

Norwich Crown Court heard Frezgi, of Bethnal Green, London, attended the first two days of his trial but was not present for the third day and had had no contact with his sister, who had brought him to court.

The court heard, despite efforts from Norfolk Police and colleagues at the Met Police there was still no trace of this defendant, who would now be 26.

The case was listed today (January 15) for trial but Judge Anthony Bate ruled that it would not yet go ahead in his absence.

Judge Bate said Frezgi had had a number of dealings with the courts and his previous record on bail had been excellent, with no failures to surrender in the past.

The judge said he had 'more than a nagging doubt in this case that he (Frezgi) may have come to some harm in some way'.

He said no trial in his absence would take place at this time.

Judge Bate said the court would however now look to sentence with his co-defendant Rhion Massa.

Massa, 19, of Bedfordshire, has previously pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to supply cocaine.

No date has yet been fixed for sentence.
