Man to appear at Norwich Crown Court after being charged with malicious wounding following Southalls Way incident

A man will appear in court next month after being charged with a number of offences following an incident in Southalls Way in Norwich on Saturday (15 July 2017).

Dylan Charles, 25, of Graham Square, Norwich, is accused of malicious wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and two counts of possession of an offensive weapon in a public place in relation to a metal bar and a lock knife.

The charges relate to an incident in Southalls Way at about 9am in which a man aged in his 20s was attacked and suffered knife wounds to his chest and face.

Charles appeared at Norwich Magistrates Court via videolink from Wymondham Police Investigation Centre (PIC) on Monday.

No pleas were taken in the magistrates court.

The case was formally sent to Norwich Crown Court on August 14.

Charles was remanded in custody until the next hearing at the crown court.
