A 29-year-old man was taken to hospital after he was assaulted in Norwich in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Emergency services were called at around 4.20am to Riverside Road.
The man was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.
An ambulance spokesman said the man was conscious and breathing but he was not fully alert when he was treated by paramedics.
