A Norwich man has been arrested after a woman was grabbed in an attack in the city.

At around 5.25am on Saturday morning, the victim, aged in her late teens, was grabbed by a man on Carrow Hill, who tried to pull her from the pavement.

Police said the man started following her near Queens Hill and made inappropriate comments as he did.

But a passer-by intervened in the incident, causing the man to flee. The victim was not injured, but was shaken.

Officers said the passer-by's actions stopped what could have been a 'more serious attack'.
