Man arrested after woman is sexually assaulted in Norwich

A man has been arrested in connection with a sexual assault in Norwich.

A woman in her late 20s was walking along Unthank Road, close to Beechbank, at approximately 4.15am on New Year’s Day when she was approached by a man who sexually assaulted her.

A man aged in his 20s and from the Norwich area was arrested on Thursday evening.

He has since been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
