Knife and class A drugs found on teenager in city centre

This knife is now off the streets after police seized it from a teenager in the city centre.
The weapon and a haul of class A drugs were found on the 17-year-old after he tried to escape from officers on King Street, Norwich on Thursday, October 1.
Norwich Police tweeted: “The suspect tried to run but didn’t get far. He was arrested for drug dealing and weapon offences.”
A Norfolk Police spokesperson said officers stopped a man in King Street at around 10.30am following reports of suspicious activity in the area.
They added: “Officers seized a large quantity of drugs, cash and a knife. A 17-year-old male from Essex has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and possession of an offensive weapon. He remains in custody at this time.”
