A man who had a 'drunken rant' at police officers for buying fast food at McDonalds was arrested after he attempted to drive away.
Police said the man made comments to officers as they purchased food in Great Yarmouth at 4am on Friday - their first meal since starting their shift at 10pm.
The man, who is aged in his 30s, got into a vehicle and attempted to drive away, but was stopped by officers.
He was subsequently arrested for failing to provide a breath test.
Great Yarmouth Police tweeted: 'If you're going to have a drunken rant at my officers for buying fast food at 4am (first chance they had to eat since booking on at 10pm), don't then get into your car whilst still drunk and try to drive it off.
'Unless you actually prefer the food in custody...'
The incident took place at McDonalds at the Gapton Hall Industrial Estate.
Norfolk police said the man remains in custody and is due to be questioned by police later today.
