Burglars broke into a home on Boxing Day through a back garden.

A house on Smeat Street in Bowthorpe was ransacked by burglars between 1pm and 6.30pm.

They entered the home through an open window before taking a Nintendo Wii games console and a Dell laptop.

The offender gained access through the back garden and climbed over a high fence.

Detectives are now appealing for information.
