Arrests following Dereham Road raid

Eight people have been arrested following a raid in Norwich.

Police from the West Centre Safer Neighbourhood team carried out the raid in a building off Dereham Road on Thursday.

Mark Wesby, 43, of Church Street, Cromer has been charged with possessing cannabis.

Mei Rui Yu, 36, of Antill Road, London has been charged with possessing a bladed article in a public place. Both have been bailed to appear at Norwich Magistrates’ Court on February 10.

An 18-year-old woman, a 46-year-old man, a 53-year-old man and a 41-year-old man, a 44-year-old man, all from the Norwich area were all arrested on suspicion of receiving stolen goods.

All five suspects have been released on police bail until Wednesday, March 2 pending further enquiries.

A 25-year-old man from the North Norfolk area has been released without charge.
