Man arrested after knife attack in Drayton

A man was arrested after an assault in Drayton where a man suffered knife wounds.

Police were called to reports that a man had been wounded by a blade on Marriott’s Way, near the junction of Taverham Road and Station Road at 4.40pm on Monday.

A 23-year-old man was treated at the scene for his injuries, which are not believed to be serious.

A man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. He was taken to Aylsham Police Investigation Centre to be quizzed and has since been released.
