A teenager was threatened with a knife during an attempted robbery in west Norwich.

The incident happened at Eaton Park between 8.55pm and 9.05pm on Friday, close to the boating pavilion.

A 17-year-old youth had been walking his dog and stopped at the pavilion to shelter from the rain when he was approached by a man who asked for his mobile phone.

The victim refused and was then threatened with a knife. After the victim’s rottweiler began to bark, the man fled the scene and ran towards South Park Avenue.

Detectives are appealing for information about the incident. Contact PC Andrew Vinsen on 0845 456 4567.
