Police have attended a gathering of more than 100 cars in Norwich following complaints of anti-social behaviour from neighbours.

Officers were called to Bowthorpe Shopping Centre, in Wendene on Saturday night following reports of antisocial behaviour and loud music relating to gathering party of car enthusiasts.

A spokesperson for Norwich Police said officers attended the scene after a minority of those involved in the meeting were reported to police for anti-social behaviour.

Upon arriving at the gathering officers spoke to the participants and those in attendance "dispersed and left the area."

On Twitter Norwich Police said: "We will to work with this group and the community to try and prevent a reoccurrence."
