Crews called to four washing machines on fire in west Norwich

Fire crews were called to west Norwich after four washing machines caught fire.

Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service said two fire engines attended the blaze in Gentry Place, off Marlpit Lane, shortly after 8.30pm tonight.

It is believed the appliances had been stored outside while awaiting repair.

The brigade used hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.
